I live in the Netherlands and our 3D competitions are according to NFAA/IFAA rules. I want to shoot in the longbow class and I’m in love with the Ausable, but someone at my archery club said that the bow isn’t IFAA/NFAA legal because of the curve in the lower limb. is that true? Is it NFAA/IFAA...

Just got the email from NFAA that with this season being so crazy, they are having NFAA National field championships, outdoor target championships and the Dakota classic all one after the other September 22-27, be held at the NFAA headquarters in Yankton South Dakota. That’s a lot of shooting...

While it's not indoor season yet, I thought to start a new thread for this marvellous form of self torture. Last week I decided my form needs work and dug up my indoor/ target setup. Lacking proper coaching I use the 300- round as a benchmark and a tool to evaluate and improve my shooting. I...

Just recently began shooting in outdoor/3d events here in Central California, and they have all been under NFAA guidelines. It is a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying the challenge. Except one. In the "Traditional" class, the "Index finger must touch the nock" is proving to be one of my biggest...

Has anyone heard whether NFAA is considering implementing a true barebow class (that allows stringwalking and does not allow compounds) for NFAA indoor nationals? I would love to go to more NFAA tournaments if they had a barebow class that fit what I shoot.

Does anyone know if they are planning to ever have a Championship Division for WA Barebow versus NFAA? I love the WA rules and I do NOT want to use stabilizers on my bow or shoot lumped in with compound barebow. Seems so mish-mashy to me. As a result, I signed up for Flights at Vegas Shoot 2019...

When the NFAA had a Longbow Division indoor what arrows could you use? Were you limited to wood?

Picked up my first FITA target and decided to try comparing NFAA score vs the FITA scores on my first 2 tries since the ring sizes (other than being split) are identical I think. As a disclaimer, I shot the first 30 arrows at 22yds (accidentally) and moved the target to 20 yds for the next 30...

Is it legal to use your finger/hand etc. to set your point of aim in NFAA field Traditional class. I have always heard that it is not legal, but am getting some conflicting information. I know most people use something on their bow to help set gaps during the shot sequence.

Within the NFAA Barebow class, can you change your tab during the shoot? I know you are allowed to switch from three under to split finger at any time during the shoot, but can you use different tabs. I have a split finger tab that I like to use for 70m to 90m shots. But I have a simple non...

I shot my first NFAA tournament this past weekend. I did shoot great, but respectable for only shooting the distance and target size for 10 weeks. Most important to me was getting to meet and talk to so many great traditional archers who gave me advice and taught me so much. It was a...

Centaur limbs for NFAA field ? I am new at the field archery and was considering using a pair of Centaur longs in the BB class. The weight on my Spig BB is 39#. I never saw anyone using Longbow limbs for that. Any thoughts on that?

Amid all the excitement of the Vegas shoot, I would like NFAA membership to know that the Board of Directors cancelled the longbow division at the Indoor Nationals this year. Low participation is sometimes offered as the rationale for eliminating a class. However, even if there is a small...

Does this shoot exist anymore? I shot it in Florida in January a few years back but I do not see it on the NFAA site or their schedule.

Title says it all, I am curious as to what poundage you folks run for Indoor and the same question for IBO 3d. I would like to shoot Trad Hunter but I am considering Modern Longbow as I happen to shoot this particular set up better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On a NFAA field round does anyone know the maximum distance a Master Senior would shoot? I googled the rules but couldn't find it.

I'm kind of confused by the NFAA rules for traditional class. Here is a quote from the rule book. #2 says no arrow rest that can be used for sighting. #3 seems to say you can have a rest and plunger. I am shooting a WFX riser, adjustable rest and plunger with a 12" stab. Can I shoot Traditional...

Hi all Have been getting into practicing shooting spots with my wooden arrows NFAA 300 rounds. I've noticed my scores are not as good as carbons (217 vs 230 PB). It's great fun and gives me some focus to jut shooting randomly in my yard. Is this normal and what are people's experience?

So I have never entered any type of archery competition but spend a lot of time practicing for hunting by shooting a blue face 20yd NFAA target. My scores are usually decent for a hunter shooting in my basement (lets say low 260s average). If I wanted to enter a tourney shooting my Black...
