Hello all, I just purchased a set of Border HEX 7.5 limbs ( yeah me). However, I knew going into this that I would need a heavier arrow with a heavier spine. Still working on that. What I wasn’t ready for was the noise that the bow produces. My setup is Spig BB 25” riser with adjustable plunger...

As some of you may remember, I got a DAS Dalaa. Love this bow but it needs to be more quiet. I have fur balls, and all the screws and bolts are tightened down in the handle so it’s not that. What else can I do to quiet the bow down. Anyone ever use limb savers and notice a difference? I’m gonna...

I have a modern Bear TD and a GreenStripe. When I put the modern limbs on the Greenstripe it is very loud compared to the modern TD. Im assuming the older riser is slightly different. Is there a bowyer that will fit limbs to a Bear riser?

I just got a Hoyt Excel 21" with Hoyt Excel ILF riser. While it shoots pretty nice, it seems to be loud??!! When releasing the string it sounds like the limbs are bouncing and slamming itself back against the riser. Just wondering if I installed it right or if this is normal. How do I make it...

When dryfired. You wait the wait and finally get them mounted.Even youre been at this for some time still a pair of new limbs manage to get you a little impatient. Expectations are high, so high, that you need to shoot even youre in a different place than your arrows are.An old aluminium shaft...

Hi, I read a previous post by rusty saying it was loud. Then online I read that it was very quiet. Perhaps they meant quiet in the hand. Has anyone tried to quiet one down by adjusting brace, limb savers, mountain muffler string, etc? Any luck getting one quiet? -R

I've switched to 3 under last month. I'm finally starting to get used to the new gap . What I can't get used to is the extra noise . I've set the tiller to even and it doesn't seem to help . I actually make the compound guys flinch when I shoot next to them indoors. I've tried velcro in the...

I've heard that a time or two and I'm still puzzled by it. Even more so after last night. Last night, I spent an hour or so shooting my ultra-light Redline 690 shafts with 80 grain points and 3" vanes out of my 50# DAS Master with Winex limbs and the only thing noteably noisy was the sound of...

On the recommendation of quite a few of you, I've been trying to shoot 'curves with a very light grip and a finger sling... Why do bows always sound so loud when I use a sling? They seem to vibrate more after the shot...what am I doing wrong...? I normally shoot 'curves with a semi-open hand...

A friend of mine has an old Bear recurve, and when he shoots it, it makes a very loud and disturbing noise. I double checked the limbs because it sounded awful. I can't see any cracks or fracture lines in the limbs. He was shooting a two layered tab with a hard plastic separator (he is...

I know Fred shoots a Palmer and I've always had a double carbon limb on my must try list, but dang his bow is loud! I'd don't know if it's the mic or what but it makes my Warf sound like one of O.L.'s longbows.
