Elliott, "Muskrat," Phillips, proud Yakama Indian, saddle bronc rider, wild horse rider, and friend for years, died Wednesday. Buried him at daylight yesterday morning with both Washat and Christian ceremonies. Some of us rode along with the hearse, to have a last ride with Muskrat. Will miss him!

We lost one of my favorite horses tonight Although she was 25 and as grumpy and cantankerous as they come, for some bizarre and unknown reason we got on together like a house on fire. Tonight we found her barely able to stand ... her sides all sucked in ... called the vet who immediately...

I became a hunter at 7 years old when a friends father walked into the garage we were messing about in carrying two dead rabbits and a .22 rifle. Even though there were no hunters in my own family, from that moment on I was hooked. I've always felt a little hunters remorse and I've always felt...

Anyone ever loose a thread. I mean not be able to find it and look through the 'back pages' (is that way the Byrd's were talking about). Then the next day it shows up. The other day I was emailing Joe P about a thread and he said he couldn't find it. An hour later there it was. Now, I can't...

Just read in the paper that Ike Hancock died on Jan 17. He was 84 years old. Ike was a flight shooter hand has run the flight shoots outside Wendover for many years. I met him in Wendover in 2008 or so. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He made records as recently as 2003. dave

Saturday night I took, what I felt, was an ethical shot on a great buck. The sun was setting and he stopped right in the sunset at 20 yards. It was perfect for that 20yd crawl I was stacking arrows with. I let the arrow go and heard it make contact. Shooting at basically a silhouette, I did...
