I have overly flexible joints, looking at the image below is there too much bend back at my knuckles? Do I actively need to try and keep them straighter? Theres probably close to 45degrees of backwards bend when pressure is applied to the string.

I have a grey Hoyt Satori riser with 52lb. Uuhka limbs mounted on it. I have developed a very audible creak or squeak every time I draw the bow. To me it sounds like the creak is emanating from the dove tail mating of the top limb and riser. I've tried greasing the mating surfaces, I've removed...

One of the best strength training tools I have come across. Its perfect for the archer to strengthen every aspect of his arms, shoulders, and upper back. Thought I would share. http://www.sierraexercise.com oops meant to put this in the fitness forum. if a mod can move this it would be great.

I am looking forward to testing the new Max 6 on the updated 17" Three Rivers Dalaa. I have read several big hook reviews over the years both good and bad. I'm interested in sorting facts from fiction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Dryad RCTX Limbs do not get much discussion on here so I thought I would post the performance and my thoughts on them. This is a up front disclaimer, I have been shooting wood arrows and Longbows so everything feels forgiving and fast right now. The limbs have a aggressive hook. As you...

Has anyone had a chance to put one of these things through its paces? I have always been impressed with the pointability and forgiveness of a forward handle bow and those big hooks look like they would really zip an arrow.

I am mainly a target archer; both 3D and paper who gaps and string walks depending on the venue. For 3D I’m using a WF19 with Dryad LBX limbs and it’s working great. However, I’m looking to upgrade my paper target limbs. I prefer the perceived forgiveness of a long-ish bow. Right now I’m...

So I have been using a really deep hook for the last year. The string actually sits slightly forward of midway between the two joints. My finger tips are curled all the way where my nails rest against my face. The last few days I have been experimenting with placing the string in the first...

Gentlefolk...no pics or vids here just a straight up discussion regarding my recent experiences with the... "After Shot Limb Hum" I've heard so many others proclaim of their big hook limbs and the reason I bring such up?...is because after tuning my Hex7 CH with 585gr/13GPP arrows?... "I...

I have a american leather kangaroo glove and i find its impossible to get a deep hook with it, is this normal? what do you all use for your deep hook?

I have researched all or nearly all threads on Trad Talk regarding this subject and the definition of "deep hook" seems to vary and even change with time. My interest is I have developed a tendon problem in my elbow that seems to relate to my fingers. (This could just be old age). I have always...

What the difference between a "hook" super recurve and horse bow siyah ? ? Which leads to the following questions: A difference in principle . . . . ? (a difference law of physics) A difference in degree . . . . ? (a difference relative amplitude) Not a "leading" question - I honestly don't...

Since I use the fuzzy side for all my archery related tasks, I have a bunch of hook side velcro left over. Has anyone tried using the hook side for an arrow rest or striker plate with positive results? Thought I would ask before going experimental...

What's better, a deep hook or not so deep? I hook in the crease of the joint at my finger tip. Many instructions I see direct the student to hook between the second and third joint. I have even seen deeper. My question is, with a shallow hook, does it cause more string roll? The deeper hook...

For several weeks my shooting has been on the decline.... I competed this summer with a 45# longbow and did well. When I recently transitioned to a Barebow rig in preparation for the Lancaster Classic, I set it up at 39/40# and just dominated it. I was shooting a half FITA indoor 18m in the...

I've been using a deep hook on my string hand when drawing my bow. I've noticed that as I draw, my fingers tended to open up a bit. I've tried to be a bit more aggressive lately in not allowing this to happen. This means a bit more tension in these fingers but the results have been reasonably...
