Hey guys sorry to be blasting posts out, but I'm new to barebow and really happy to have found a source of info. I put my middle finger on my k9 and the string rakes my nose every time. I do have a relatively big nose so I'll admit that right up front. No freakish, just on the large side of...

Hey everyone, first time poster here. This might sound amateurish but I just want to know how people deal with this. I shoot a recurve 3 under, anchor corner of mouth/back of jaw and I'm pretty consistent with my form. I know my eye isn't in line with the arrow which means if I aim with the...

I got my riser replace for my Border limbs, reset it up like the original and the 500 Axis are shooting 4-5" high, tight group and straight as a dart, suggestion would be appreciated, I shoot 3 under fix crawl. Have to adjustment below the target spot to hit it, before the point was straight on.

G'day Guys, I have just switched from shooting a glove to a tab and what a difference it has made. It has allowed me to get a consistent repeatable anchor with out any leather in the way. It has also added 3/4- 1 inch to my draw allowing me to roll my shoulder right around and only have tension...

Hey, I know this will be a tough thing to diagnose with a post like this, but I recently got a SF Archery Axiom to use as a practice bow and it seems no matter what I do I keep hitting my wrist. I know normally this would be a form issue, but I can still shoot my other recurve and long bow with...

I need some help. I started shooting a longbow about 3 months ago and started shooting pretty descent. Well I got a new string for my bow about a week ago and have started having issues. I measured my brace height and nock height before I replaced the string. Put the new string on and adjusted...

17 inch DAS risers and using a springy rest. They hit with both a 25 and a 30 oz. springs. I have tried orientation and they hit worse than just cock out and hen down at a typical angle. I am totally sick of feathers by now in my Bowhunting life and want to go springys and vanes on everything...

Been sick for a couple of weeks and finally able to get out and shoot my recurve. First shot, I whack my nose. Second shot, same thing, drawing blood this time. I now start concentrating on my grip and same results. Now it is really getting in my head. I will try again tomorrow. Any...

Hey guys, my husband and I went out shooting yesterday and we noticed that when he shot we'd hear a wood on wood sound and his shelf is clearly scuffed. When we went to our first 3D shoot a while ago the other guys were telling us that's because the arrow is hitting the side of the bow and to...

Helping my son get his bow tuned and ready for deer season. He is bare shaft tuned just a tad weak (2" from dot) at 20 yards, punching bullet holes in paper but he hits about 6" low with broadheads at 20 yards. What causing this? Could it just be the BH?

Recently, I switched to 3under with my Recurve. Besides issues with the tiller (on which I've started another thread), I noticed that with 3under the string is quite frequently hitting my forearm. This is a real problem because I fear that the string might get damaged from that. Besides rotating...

Hello, Tradtalkers!....Recently I've been trying to stretch my draw length out some, by trying open my chest up, get my drawing elbow back farther and around, and keeping my same anchor point, or maybe just a tad bit farther back on my face, but it seems that at the release, the string drags...

OK gents, here's a question for you. I picked up some new arrows last week.. GT traditionals .500 spine cut to 31" and using 125 grn field tips. I am consistently hitting left if I am aiming or instinctively shooting with a vertical bow. With both my 45# super Necedah and my 40# bear/sage. If I...

Have been shooting compounds, but recently got myself a new recurve. Problem is I'm constantly hitting my nose with the string. Mostly used 3 under for gapping but also tried split finger, but problem persists. Anyone out there have a remedy. Bow is 64" recurve. Never had this with compound. Thanks

I have been shooting a Howard Hill LB 64" n to n 55# @ 26" or so it is stated on the bow. my usual DL is 28" + with bows under that DW. With that particular bow I'm drawing 26 1/2 to almost 27" once I'm "warmed up." But the bow is hard to hold at anchor for more than a few, very few seconds 3...
