Am experimenting with adding a short length of 2312 (outsert type of footing) to the front of some woodies. What would be a good length for this sleeve?

My Father in law enjoys wood working he has been footing some arrows and now tapering a few. How does this impact an arrows spine? Im building these up for a 43lb toelke whip hs.

I found a chart with all the easton arrow in and out diameter compatibilities. I was wondering if it was feasible to foot an aluminum or carbon arrow with a larger shaft section and insert? It would be a home made outsert of sorts and add...

What size shaft do I need to foot a 400 Axis shaft? Also what type glue is the best for footing or does it really matter? Thanks guys Walker

I'm wanting to foot .340 spine FMJ shafts. From what I've been able to determine the shaft size for the .340's is 0.269". Based on that a 2020 aluminum shaft would be perfect and give me a clearance of 0.0055". This is the same clearance between shaft and footing I have when I foot .300...

So, after dumping a pile of cash on different spined arrows and finding ones that bare shaft test right, ( axis traditional 500 ) now I'm interested in footing them, will this now throw off the bare shaft test? They fly beautifully now, but I'm looking to make them bomb proof for stumping.

I have actually landed in one place now for atleast a year. I want to and have been getting all my gear out to finally get setup again. I need to foot my arrows and need some alumium shafts to do it with. I coud use some help from someone who actually has these shafts sizes and can try to...

I'm wanting to either buy pre-made or build myself some flu flu arrows. I'm a little bit puzzled though. The answers may be obvious but I'd hate to waste money on the wrong thing. My current setup is a Fedora longbow 49# @ my 28" draw using GT Trad 5575s cut to 29 3/4" with 250 gr. points. #1...

I'm shooting 60# @28" . 28" DL . I recently switched to axis .400s . 29.75" 50 grain inserts 125 grain tips , x knocks and 4 fletch , 5" feathers . I'm liking how they fly and how they bare shaft at 20 yards. I want to start scoring for the 12 ends of 5 arrows and want to foot both ends of arrow...

I have .400, .500, and .600 Axis shafts and will probably foot with a 1" piece of aluminum shaft. Is the aluminum size critical. I have a 2016 and a 2018 shaft??

I am putting some Axis arrows together and trying to decide if I should add a section of aluminum shaft to the font end or just get the BAR's. I'd appreciate any ones shared experiences with either.

Why would outserts be allowed to use on club targets but not footed shafts? I must say I have not seen an outsert on an arrow but can only assume they are similar.

So I went stumping (mushroom hunting ;) ) yesterday with Daniel here in Austria. He has built some stumping arrows (heck all his arrows are stumping TOUGH). He shot trees HARD problem even with STEEL HEADS. I had rubber blunts on my 150 Maximas.......they just splintered. SO I...

Anyone know what size aluminum arrow is used to foot a 340 Easton ST Epic. Thanks Mike

Before I get blasted, I have done a lot of research on this but am battling to find the correct size for the footing. I have found a place that recommends sizes of aluminiums for well known carbons, but I have X-weaves that are not popular (for a reason I fear!), so there is no recommended size...

I've posed this question on other forums with many views and no answers. Knowing from past experience with wood working when you glue two pieces of wood together, clamp them and let them cure the bonded joint where the two pieces meet is the strongest part of the board. With that when footing...
