Here's a tip to remove the fittings on ILF limbs that is quick and easy. If you have a drill press, get a bit that is the same size as the barrel of the fitting, or slightly smaller. Place the limb on the work table, with about 1" of clearance between the bit and the top of the limb. Then gently...

I hate the shinny chrome bolts on the ILF limbs what can I do with them? Can I get a fitting that isn't so shinny? I have never replaced fittings before but the shinny piece looks just like a simple bolt. Could I just go to the hardware store and find a black replacement? Thanks
