Finally connected with a doe. Recurve in hand , couple does come thru, hung out directly under my tree for 5-6 min. To thick to shoot through. Like 3-5 yards . I’ve never practiced that close from a tree stand, so was looking for a 10 to 15 yard shot. Seemed like an eternity, one finally gave...

I hired a coach today. I was doing some bale work at my local range while a JOAD session was going on. My grouping were fairly tight, but I kept smackin' my lower lip with the string. The coach noticed and came over and watched me shoot. I told him I didn't have the flexibility to get my head...

Well I'm not very active online, but I thought after creeping as much as I do I better contribute. At about the same time my wife and I finally planted our roots in a city I was offered a remote job I couldn't pass up. Fast forward to now and I'm here in Whitehorse Yukon getting settled...

6 days in on switching back to traditional and finally got my groove back. 4 inch groups out to 20 yards so far and very consistent. Gonna hit the woods with the super Kodiak this weekend and see if I can deflate a good buck

I've always hung around the forum, but never contributed as I never had a bow. Mid July I am finally getting a handmade LongBow. It was originally made for somebody else, but the opportunity arose and I took it. It is a 45# @ 29". Might be a bit heavy as my first bow. It comes with two arrows so...

So I finally got a chrono and ran some arrows over it. My 19" tempest with long hex 7.5 limbs that are pulling just under 49lbs at my 28.5"ish DL. Arrows are 658g Easton axis 300 with 275g up front. Very consistenty read 176-78 at 13..42gpp. That's 45.78 KE. Darn impressive. Going to try...

It has taken me a few weeks (and two failed attempts) to develop and make, but finally I've finished my new quiver. My personal take on the "Sadai"-quiver: I'm not 100% satisfied with the end result as in if I knew then what I know now, I would have done a few things differently. But this has...

After two misses at close range I connected on my second trad kill in three seasons of hunting. I am enjoying the heck out of it! 20 yrd shot, she went 40 yrds and dropped. 40 # 7.5's on the tribute riser Axis 400's with 145gr bear razorhead and 50gr. brass insert.

Today was the first day of Whitetail Doe season here. I said to myself.....SELF...we need to get something soon. I haven't had a chance to shoot deer since I left Alberta about 30 years ago. Anyway I was on my way to the happy hunting grounds when I saw this Doe. She ran across the road and...

Dean must have snuck this one in quietly. Three rivers has a very well built brass sight pin just like the old days. They are using the hardware from the SRF. I have a pin that I have been using on the tribute. I did not know they had it available online. I shoot gap, fixed crawl, SRF and a...

I gave away my first recurve (Quinn Stallion) to my brother-in-law, and missed it ever since, so I purchased another one last fall. Jonhdo converted it to ILF for me last year. First, thanks Loc for doing such a really great job machining my riser! I also purchased a set of cheaper, light...

I have been trying to move to tab a from a glove for several months and the tabs I have tried always seems to give me face slap until I cut them to the point that the string hits my fingers on release. No happy middle ground and I was ready to give it up. I decided to give it one more chance...

Made ya look I picked up some wood arrows from three rivers. I finally had some time to shoot several ends today. When I started I checked every arrow for good spin. Within 30 minutes groups were opening up. Three arrows literally became bent during the shooting session. Is this typical of...

A while back I posted on trying to quiet my warf down. I rock a fixed crawl an it was just loud. I tried brace heights between 7 1/5-9, tiller, adjustments, nocking point adjustments, and it was just loud. Well today I built a new string for it that turned out a little short and braced right at...

Touched a bow for the first time in two weeks today after having run fever the whole time. Cleaned the new pro medalist and built a string then I was worn out. Summer time sickness is the worst. Feels good to finally get a little normalcy back. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Up graded to an old Nexus, well pleased with it, got a single weight (340 grams) in the stab hole, it passes though the 12.2 cm ring just!, SW pretty good now, getting groups, next practice shooting unmarked distances, I though a small foam football, give it a kick and then the thing, pace out...
