Still pretty new to this, and I'd like to buy a new string for my bow. It's a Jeffery Archery Royal hunter takedown that's around 20 years old. I've attached pictures of the front and back of the limbs. Can this bow handle the fast flight strings like the D97? Thanks in advance.

I see that some limbs that are the same poundage and size are faster than others, what do I need to know?

Can anyone say with empirical evidence that a fast Bow is harder to shoot accurately? In your Opinion, what is the advantages and disadvantages of a faster Bow? Would you say 180 and above is a fast Bow shooting ten grains of arrow weight for every pound of draw weight? This is limited to...

I need a fast flight string for my recurve. I was just gonna use 60x. I know I’ve seen comments on here about some of you guys making them. Any recommendations?

For SW BB target shooting is there a noticeable difference between them? I currently have 8125 on one bow and FF on another and I can't really tell the difference. The only thing I'm seeing is that the FF seems to be wearing out faster than the 8125. I've never tried 450+ so I have no clue...

Got a new Grozer scythian biocomposite on the way, was just wondering if they can handle fast flight or dyneema type strings? I normally make my strings from 8125g and all my bows have them, including my Korean "horsebows". But the Grozer I ordered is my new biocomposite so not sure if it can...

Okay, if you're in an actual deer camp (or elk or moose or...) do you opt for 'quick and dirty' meals, or do you take your time and prepare something fancy? Back in the day, our hunting camp meals got progressively fancier as daylight hours got shorter. While we might opt for simple fare in...

Winter is coming to those up in the north, so that means indoor season. What is everyone shooting this year? Riser, limbs, arrows, style? What are your goals? How do you plan on getting to these goals? Are you making any changes this year from last tear, and what are they? Any particular event...

So I was at the asa state shoot today and they were running bows through the chrono. I asked Jim if I could give it a try. I was shocked! 30# border long hex6.5 showing 34#@29.75" 20 strand bcy-x string Goldtip 600 ultralites full length with 100gr tips. Jim lined me up and 198fps.

I just got a 60" 45# recurve. It is brand new and fast flight compatible. I'm not sure how many strand count I would need. or if I should get d97 or one of the other materials. Or if I should get flemish or endless loop. I like the way flemish looks. But which one performs better? I plan on...

Monday I was tuning my setup for Field/3D, back on the CV limbs and CT Cheetahs 525 spine, the CV's 38# OTF and showing slightly weak so switched the 105g Tophat points and 20g inserts for the 100g glue in points, they bareshafted ok and brought the total arrow down to just under 290g. Doing...

I'm looking for any suggestions for slowing down my shot after I acquire my sight picture. I have had TP, so I know that is an issue, but if I could just gain a second I would feel much more in control. Any tips.

I just made this video because I got a bunch of emails asking how a lineman belt makes a difference. This video shows me walking to the tree with all gear wrapped up, unwrapping, hanging, ready to hunt, then back down, wrapped up and walking out all in about 10 minutes. A lineman belt is the...
