Just wanted to pass along there is a Conquest w/limbs on eBay right now. They claim it is from Earl Hoyt's estate. I don't know if it's true, but as a long time Conquest owner myself, I thought I would mention it here in case someone is interested. (I have no affiliation with the seller...
  2. Watering Hole A grand old story-teller passes on. I never watched The Waltons when it first aired, but when I was recuperating after an illness I got into it via cable re-runs. Great characters and writing.

Hey guys, I have a relatively boring question, but it may be useful to some of the crowd here. I'm looking to pick up a set of Conquest Carbons, and I was wondering how one could go about distinguishing limbs made under Earl Hoyt's ownership, from limbs made by Mathews. I vaguely seem to...

I picked up an old Hoyt TD3 riser from John recently. Added some short ILF limbs with DAS bushings, and whalaa.... a great shooting recurve!! Got lucky too, didn't take long to find a string, screwed in the plunger to go with the T-300 rest, same arrows I shoot out of my other bows.... and...

Anybody know of any books or other info on Earl? The more I learn the more interested I am in the man. I always considered Hoyt to be one of the leaders in archery and am learning more and more that there is good reason for that.
