evening all, I've noticed that at 40-45yds I miss left but group reasonably well. I'm doing this wether with 340 spine arrows that are 5/16 with 145gr tips (520gr arrow) or with 300 spine 9/32 arrows with 175gr field tips. I"m thinking it's me... I'm doing my best to ensure full draw and...

Setting up longbow and woodies up for longbow class for ibo shoot. Max is 25 yards. What would you setup your point on at? I’m set at 20 now but think I can make it a touch further back playing with dropping the nock a bit.

Hi all, I’m new to metal risers, and my translation of Italian translations is not so perfect... I want to match some arrows to my limbs and it looks like it will take it to the lighter end of the adjustments (screwing out bolt). Does anyone understand what their recommendation for how far...

Jozsef Monus made a shot from a tower to a small target 210 meters away. Think it was an re-enactment of a historical feat. Takes a lot of nerve to try that stuff with cameras rolling and one shot to hit or miss. 229 yards.

I am watching the 2017 3d World Finals. I think they refer to ground walking as just picking a familiar distance and estimating the distance beyond that point. I have seen a few others use their hand held out flat in front of them. What exactly are they doing?

Did this just for fun. Obviously, there are many things that could be done to extend the range. Lighter arrows, lower profile fletching, thinner bowstring with no silencers, better release, arm surgery to get longer arms for a longer draw, etc. But as it was, was easily able to shoot it out to...

On my #60 Bear Kodiak Hunter, I have two nocks on my string and shoot 3 under. It seems the distance between the two nocks has maybe increased. I don't know the original distance and I'm aware there has to be some slack between the arrow nock and the two when not drawn. I drew my bow back and...

I started barebow a few days ago and I´m having the same problem I had with the instinctive. When I shoot long distances I get some kind of target panic.I use to draw the bow like 10 seconds but when I shoot long distances I get tense and it hurry up my shoot.(obviusly some kind of target panic)...

The max distance here for 3D events is usually 30 yards with the majority of shots in the 20 - 25 yard range. Only a couple of shots at 30 and a handful at 15. So I’m curious what you think would be the best point on distance. Mine is currently a 30 yard point on but I’m considering making...

This is mine/my dad's Plains Indian-style bow that was made by bowyer Bill Vonderhey sometime in the 1990's. Vonderhey has since passed away. Drawn to 41#@20", I got 125 fps with 383 grain arrows, and up to 119 with 500 grain arrows. Perhaps this bow should be bending more closer to the handle...

Howdy, Im hoping to hear from stringwalkers about what I might be doing wrong that keeps me from getting my point on distance out past 35yrds with 3 under. I'm shooting an oly riser with medium #40 limbs and drawing 28". My main arrows are easton acc with shafts cut to 28". So at full draw the...

For those of you that have requested copies of my FITA field distance card, we are working through a potential issue with the distances from the Cadet stakes. I have emailed the judge that I got my information from. I was never able to find an authoritative source for the cadet stake distances...

I was bareshaft tuning yesterday, and will probably do a bit more today. My first pass was at 30 yards and then went to 50 yards. What I am wondering is if there is a distance, beyond which, expecting your bareshafts to give you a good read is just an exercise in futility. I did pretty well at...
