Been shooting a flemish string called FF plus. Love the string but has issues finding more of them so I bought a couple custom flemish D97 strings from a reputable guy online. Very happy with the workmanship on these new strings. The long bow setup is a 35 lb scaled 64 inch ilf. Shooting full...

So I have 100 grain field points but I can only find 125 grain broad heads. Will it mess up my spine so much to be dangerous to shoot? Or what affects will it have at all other than POI and such? I'm using cedar arrow shafts on a 40lb bow. My dad fell victim to shooting a broken carbon arrow...

Instead of derailing a different thread, I am starting a new one: What is the difference in the ILF Upper and Lower limbs. We have limbs that are marked Upper and marked Lower. We put them our risers accordingly. They appear to be identical. But are they? If one switches them, what happens?

That's the thought that went through my head today as I managed to fit in mid-morning, mid-afternoon and early evening sessions. It was a good day because all last week and beyond I had been shooting the 45# Hawk to the point I managed to hyper-extended my index string finger and had to take a...

4" inches makes a difference Talking Risers here: ;) Easy Jeff I'm amazed at the difference in comfort and relaxed shooting a 25" Riser provides. I should have picked up a 25" long ago and developed my shot process. Groups are not great but they are much more consistent... Despite the...

One of the IBO shooters in the Push video gave some advice to shoot as long of a bow as you can. Ive recently quit shooting groups, now I move to random areas within a 32 yard area and shoot for an IBO score. When I compare the results between the Gen 2 17"riser vs my 21" Dalaa the 21 tops...

What is the difference between these two TT limbs? Both have carbon and wood. Excuse my ignorance on this one, lol

My buddy and I were discussing ILF limbs, and arrow speed differences last night...I told him that due to differences between Lot numbers of materials,, glue batches, environmental differences during lay-up, finish thickness, etc., etc.,, that there will be small differences in performance...

Do they use the same riser? What draw length is the Raider better for in a warfed bow?

I have not been getting along with the stock grip on my Hoyt Horizon riser. The plastic grip is for the most part hollow, so not easy to modify. I ordered a new laminated wood grip that is much thinner and has a reduced grip angle. The grip angle really does not seem to make much of a difference...

and its got Arnie in it ! "Maggie" ... Its a clever heartfelt take on the Zombie / outbreak genre and Arnie is just fantastic , very understated, restrained and in the moment. It ain't Citizen Kane ... but it sure is heartfelt and I thought really well made and acted. Surprising good film...

The difference between a FITA shoot and a traditional rendezvous. Now that I am into my second year after transitioning from FITA to traditional, I thought I would point out some of the differences: FITA: Getting there early so you can set up your popup behind where your...

Got a half spool of what I now think is FF or FF+. Twisted up a string for my slow mongrel of a longbow that came with a 16 B50. Ain't sure if this bow can take FF but made a 12 padded to 22 string. Was shooting 2213s 30" with 240gr up front to get a decent tune, now only need 100 up front...

I just google best compiund bows 2014, amd I read a few articles comparing bows. In a test of a respectable outdoors magazine, most of these bows, at 60# ,28 inch draw length, with a 360 gn arrow, were recording around 280 fps. Now one of my Dorados for example ,with winwin ex power limbs...

How much have you spent yet remained the same, and why ? For me it's been not so much because I tend to keep bows for a long time. But I have still spent thousands without improving my field or 3D shooting one iota. The most accurate bows I've owned have both been bows I've owned for 30 years...
