I have used a lot of phenolic/micarta on tips but haven't used it on a riser. Also, as I look at these riser with black accents, are they micarta, dyed wood,dura-wood or what? Also, wood is the easiest to cut and shape but what works best on the composite materials? Just looking for ideas.

I’m not use to shooting cut to center r/d longbows and am looking for a good arrow recipe suggestion for 50# at my 27” draw. I like the gold tip kenetic pierce but I’m trying to hit 550 grains or a little more. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My years of recurve shooting typically make...

This is a rich person's perspective about cutting taxes for the rich. It is a very cogent outline of why trickle down has not worked, and will not work, at least in the opinion of the author. There are too many quotable lines to even try. Of course, this is a test for the conservatives here...

Looking for some advice on the Icarus that Timberpoint is building for me. I plan to shoot wood arrows mostly and Jaco can cut to center or past center. What are you guys thoughts and if past center ,how much? Are there any downside to going past center using wood arrows? Thanks Walker

Just bought some 5 1/2 inch banana cut feathers. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts or experiences are when hunting with this type fletch. Is it louder than other fletcher types? And does it matter in hunting situations? Thanks in advance! Mike

I am trying to tune a plunger on a bow set up that is at most 1/16 past center. "Tuning for tens" starts with a hard plunger set up with the arrow at center shot. I have been tuning for bare shaft flight with a hard plunger but once I put a spring in I'm kind of lost as far as improving my...

Does anyone know where to get these cut foam blocks for storing a riser? I can't remember if this one came with my bow case or my riser and I need a new one since my new 27" riser won't quite fit. Closest thing I've found is pick-a-part foam but it only comes in a three pack. Thanks, -Greg

Hi all - compared to more recent metal hunting recurves (e.g. TT Titans, Morrison Phoenix, Sky TDX) - why are the DAS Dalaa's cut less past center? I'm sure there was a conscious design decision made. Was this to allow gapping off the riser? (Easier when it's not cut so far past center.) A...

I am hoping that I have found a solution to the problem of how to install a diy adjustable pressure button through the standard 5/16"-24 threaded hole in a just-cut-to-center riser (zero center), without having it protrude too far from the sight window face of the riser and push the arrow too...

my boys and I are pretty new to all this, just a few months. I've experimented with a variety of recurve, old school compound, and modern compound. The one thing I wasn't aware of was the center cut vs past center cut riser issue. I ran into this on a Samick Sage after adding an elevated rest...
