Fletch-riser contact Question for you wise ones: am tuning a new set of Border CVH limbs for my oly rig & seem to be getting some riser - fletch contact - BH is still moving up (currently at 9.75" for a 72" rig but still a bit of limb tip noise) - knock height is about 1/4" above the arrow rest...

a big issue for me in shooting straight-gripped longbows has been distribution of grip pressure. a little more heel-of-hand sent arrows high. so now i am trying ilf recurve. i make NO heel-of-hand contact with the bow, and am shooting better than i ever have. just the index finger/thumb...

An idle question for you cognoscenti of tuning... Have been bare shaft tuning some carbons, aluminums & bamboo shafts & noticed that as bow weight increases so does the lateral spread between bare vs feathered shafts - in all cases weak bare shaft & stiffer fletches shaft - one other variable...
