I had ordered a Quinn 3DXL in 66" a number of years ago, and posted about it. I hardly ever see anyone post about the Quinn bows anymore. Once David and Peggy passed away, it seems the interest faded away. I'd love to find one again. More Nostalgic than anything else I imagine, but I wish I...

Here's a pic of a quinn comet handle. http://s437.photobucket.com/user/pcraig06/media/bd2e94a0f196e3695b314e14f9defd2a_zps8814c863.jpg.html that I found online. If I was to order a tradtech grip, which one do you think would be closest to the quinn? A high or a medium TT grip? I'm guessing...

Hi all, I bought a comet xl 3d about 8 years back. I painted it and so the info on its overall length is lost. I also lost the instructions book. Now, I don't know if I have a 64" or 66" model and do not know the recommended brace height for either. Any advice on finding these out? The...

I have a 64" Quinn Comet XL with 30# limbs...thinking of either purchasing 50# limbs to make this bow a hunting bow or swap with someone the lighter limbs for heavier limbs. I am not worried about keeping the 64" but nothing less than 62"...the riser on the Comet XL is the same across the...

Appears to be a little thin in the sight window section. How strong do you think it is? Do you think it is capable of 50 pound loads? I have one and am thinking of moving the limb bolts ineard to shorten it it, re-cut to ILF or DAS. What do Comet shooters think?

I am going to order a 66" Quinn Comet XL with 35# draw weight at 28". What type of arrows should I order for target shooting? Mainly indoors but some outdoors. Maybe 3D as well.

Is the Comet mainly a youth bow or is it also an adult bow?

Well, I have finally found some time to start shooting on a regular basis (kind of busy with work since the first of the year). So... I've got these new X7 2114's that I hadn't used yet, and I'll be darned... but it appears that a 33" shaft w/100 gr. point is bareshafting right in there with...

I realize the Quinn Comet was designed as a youth bow but is there any reason an adult couldn't use it (@27.5" draw length)? The price seems very reasonable at $160-$170. Is the handle too small for an adult? I heard it might be the same handle as the Stingray model. Any info on the plain...

Howdy all, I am looking into buying a target recurve for 3d this year and the Quinns Comet XL-3D caught my eye. I am pretty new to recurve target archery and have a few questions: What are your thoughts on its performance? Are the limbs ILF? Whats a good target weight; I am considering 40lbs...

Hi, I have a 40#, 66" comet xl 3d that I love. As a bow-a-holic, I may need a fix soon and was considering a 64" stallion at 40# or 45#. I think the comet has a significantly longer riser, so a 64" stallion may have longer limbs than a 66" comet. Other than that, the main difference I see is...

Hi, I might treat myself to a bow for my 31st bday in a week. I'm currently shooting a proline warf with sky conquest carbons (45#). I was considering a quinn comet xl or stallion. This bow is mostly for practice, maybe some hunting later on. My 9 out of 10 shots on a pie plate at 20 yards...
