Note the updated WA Target Barebow rule, published on 1 October... "It is now mandatory that the end (practically, the top) of the centre serving cannot end in the field of vision of the archer at full draw, preventing it from being used as an aiming aid." It applies to WA target archery, but...

Will any shooting accuracy or bow tune problems arise from not centering the serving wraps on the center of the bowstring length? I would prefer to have the servings protection of the string moved down 1” because of the bulky winter coat I wear. I try to keep my stance so the string doesn’t...

I’m not use to shooting cut to center r/d longbows and am looking for a good arrow recipe suggestion for 50# at my 27” draw. I like the gold tip kenetic pierce but I’m trying to hit 550 grains or a little more. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My years of recurve shooting typically make...

Hej Guys, here comes my struggle: After some form changes to decrease the gap (tilting head forward so the string touch my eyebrow, little change of anchor point, change of tab) I have settled to quite good repeatable form, my gaps are excellent, max. 6 inches, point on about 22 yards. The...

When you apply a center serving to a continuous loop string, and you know you will be twisting the string, do you twist the string before doing the center serving? Or do you apply the center serving to the untwisted string and twist the string afterwards? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I got me a WFX25 (right hand)and I am having a nightmare of a time trying to get the center shot set up on it. This one does not have a hump. At first I tried to get a Pat Norris springy work, and everything was hitting way way left. Even when I had the springy adjusted all the way in, still...

I am trying to tune a plunger on a bow set up that is at most 1/16 past center. "Tuning for tens" starts with a hard plunger set up with the arrow at center shot. I have been tuning for bare shaft flight with a hard plunger but once I put a spring in I'm kind of lost as far as improving my...

Just wondering how you guys set up center shot. I have a Titan and I'm shooting it off of the shelf right now. Using the furniture pads (and 1916 arrows) the arrow is centered with the string on the riser. The owners manual shows having the arrow one width to the left of the string. Any thoughts...

I was reading the chapter on tuning by Don Rabska in the book Precision Archery. He mentioned that the center shot is set with the arrow tip just outside the string so that the arrow is aligned when the plunger is depressed. I always set my bows up this way but I had not heard this explanation...
