Fedora Bows are among my favorites
In the realm of wood bows, they're definitely my favorite. I've got 4 Fedoras and if I remember right, I've taken game with three of them and I've won tournaments with two of them. One is purely tournament, so it's never been in the woods. At any rate, I'm glad to have them as a sponsor.

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
I have wanted a Fedora Recurve for a while now. Have been looking for one on Ebay. They have to be a Great Bow! The Owner has years of knowlege as a Bowyer.

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
I will see Roberts 4 and raise him 1. I have 5 fedoras and a couple extra sets of limbs. Two 14" risers a 17" and a 19" and a 60" one piece. Might part with one for the RIGHT price! Mike and Jason Fedora are the real deal!

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
Just went to Fedoras site. This man has been around making Bows since I was born in 57! Got to be a great Bow. Found out many of his limbs interchange, and the 60 inch one piece was the fastest 60 inch Bow Norm ever tested. Got to have one!

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
I've got 3 TD recurves...and not tellin how many sets of limbs for them. I go from mid 50's to mid 70's in draw wt. Mike Sr. is a real gentleman, not to mention a great bowyer. He's always got a good word for ya!

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
Dave,
Did Mike still have his set up in the building close to the 3D's set up outside it? He's always willing to have ya shoot some with his bows as well as offer some advice. Like you say, he's "Good Folks"... and then some.

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
HE was inside the building this year. His son was Arvid's shadow for a day. Was really interested in shooting the Swans and talking about carbon and foam. Maybe we'll see a carbon Fedora.

JOHN, those are just way too pretty.
I'm selling some stuff to raise some dough.
Thanks for the pics.

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
I've got 3 Fedoras and I'd guess 8 sets of limbs. And all limbs are interchangeable with all risers. The second riser I had made I stayed in the shop and had it truly custom "fit" to my liking. MAN that thing fits like a glove. I don't believe I'll ever have another that is SO comfortable! [unless of course I have that one put on a copy lathe or something.]

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
A colleague of mine has a 560 TD with high performance, rare Brazilian rosewood limbs. At one time he offered to sell it to me since he's moved on to a DAS, but he wants a lot of money for it (like as much as a new Black Widow). Would it be worth it because of the collectability? I've shot it, and it's certainly fast, but I haven't shot other high-end bows to compare it against.

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
NJW,
I would call Mike Fedora and find out how much to duplicate the bow your friend has and go from there. I would say the 560 td with the high performance limbs is equal to any other recurve and are hand crafted.
Plus a conversation with Mike will leave you smiling!
John

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
GUYS, I'm now a fan as well, I bought the 560 T.D. in the bottom set of pics John posted. It's simply awesome in the hand, and smooth to draw.
THANKS John.

Re: Fedora Bows are among my favorites
NJWoodsman, IMO there's no comparison between the Fedora and BW. I good condition that Fedora is truly a handcrafted piece of work and worth every penny.
