View Full Version : Warf bow from Golden Eagle Predator
Hello from France.
I do think that a warf bow is typically a french idea. That we call "un idée géniale française" (a sort of french diy).
My question is this : Did anybody know if a riser from a Golden Eagle Predator compound ( circa 1990) is warfable?
Thanks for any genial thought and personnal humour.
Best regards

I never have looked close at any Golden Eagle compound risers so can't help you any on that riser, sorry...warf
Thank you for your reply.
You did a great job on promoting bow warfing.

My dad's hunting partner made a warf from a golden eagle, circa 1985. It was a longer riser, and made a 67" bow with short limbs. But it was quiet and still fast. I shot it at 211 fps with 30" ACC arrows. He built plates into the bow limb pocket to fit the KAP ILF limbs. But it was longer than I like. He likes it though.

Rhue,

Cordialement

Thank you for this reply. that means Golden Eagle bows did exist once; some bowmen can remember them!
The riser of my bow is 20 inch long and rather straigth; so convenient for a warfing.

I remember a fellow club member who used to hunt with the man who started Golden Eagle. Bob brought back a protype handle and stuck some limbs on it and we shot the broadhead course with it. Not to long after that Golden eagle bows were for sale on a national basis. That had to be 1979 or 1980 if my memory is close.
Another fellow bowshooter and archery shop owener used to use a Golden Eagle for years and when I quizzed him as to why he said "this bow helps make up for my mistakes".
Those were fun years as new bows were coming out all the time. I liked being able to test a new design then wonder if it would blow up in my face like so many did. Ah yes, the old but not necessarly good days.

I guess I'm not better than you when speaking english. But few adequate words are enough to communicate.
So I am proceeding in the idea to turn my old Goden Eagle into a new and accurate warf. Thanks Gordon and your master's dog.
