I've just about finished my first self bow using ash and started making a form for my first recurve.

I really like the take down recurves some of you have made. I'm not interested in aquiring all the tools needed to laminate fiberglass so I was wondering about the feasability of constructing the limbs without using glass.

If anyone can give me some clues or tips regarding this it would be appreciated.

Apparently a completely stupid or un-answerable. Thanks anyway

I don't think it was a stupid question. My guess is nobody on here is or has made that kind of limb. I haven't heard of anyone making recurve limbs without glass since back in the 1950s.

Good luck if you try it, Dave

Go over to the wall and look for posts by Norseman. He has built several lam bows without glass.
