Here's one I thought I'd throw in the mix. I had a great idea, weld some PSE ILF limb pockets onto an aluminum Hoyt Defiant compound riser.
Although it work....it didn't work.
The bow is very noisie and has a 7 1/4 brace hieght, a real wrist slapper.
Speeds are fair and I actually shoot it pretty accurately.
With 289 gr. Redline I was getting 205 fps, and with a 416 gr. Gold Tip 185 fps.
47 lbs. 26" draw

Hmm, back to the drawing board.

Never a good idea on a recurve having the limbs that far out in front of the grip, look at the PSE Coyote junker, same problems with that bow as you are having, low brace height and great wrist slapper, the noise part can be solved but with poor riser/limb geometry you end up with a torque monster and hard to shoot bow, back to the drawing boad is a good idea but it's fun to do it your self to see what works and what doesn't...warf

Thanks Bob.
I've just been noticing that. Limb alignment that is. I took a look at a few other bows and realized the limbs need to be further back.
I does go off quite violently.....but if you keep a good grip on it (ha ha), it shoots pretty straight.
But it was fun to try.....just a bit disappointing on the outcome.
