Here's a bow that Mikey made. Man is it a shooter. I'm gonna be his official field tester from now on I hope. :) Thanks Mikey. I hope I can figure this pic thing out.

Only had the darn thing a day, and its layin on the ground. This is terrible. Just terrible. I just wanted to get you a bow that might just end your endless searching for the "perfect hunting bow". I think I got it purty close. Enjoy it buddy!! How long is that thing anyways??

It's a whopping 58 1/2 " tip to tip. Gonna take some getting used to but that will be alot of fun. Thanks again Bro.

Roby, he told me I could only shoot half as good as him so I only get half a grip. :sbrug:

Reminds me of the David Lindley song: "Quarter of a man" So, with apologies to the Artist, I give you "Shooter of a man":

There's a Shooter of a man with his Bow Kit, has a quarter of a grip so it's easy to hold it
At the 3D he shoots what he can but he only shoots at ten rings
He's a Shooter of a man

Now this quarter of a grip made by Mikey, the Tradtalk Boys they all likey
The only thing wrong with this grip is it only is a quarter
So it's likely to slip

Every weekend he shows up to shoot, too few arrows to make a real group
He's so accurate he gives them the slip, but he only has a quarter grip

There's a Shooter of a man with his bowkit, has a quarter of a grip so it's easy to hold it
At the 3D he shoots what he can but he only shoots at ten rings
He's a Shooter of a man

Mike,
Too bad we don't see more of your work on here! I know you've got it going on! I haven't forgot your limb pockets, just waiting for a break in my work schedule! :highfive:

Dave,
You'll hardly ever catch me braggin on myself. Tommy just happens to be the first one to ever post pictures.

I will give you a heads up on that one though. Its got low poundage medium maple glass limbs on a machined aluminum riser. Comes out to around 48 pounds at Toms draw length (around 30 inches) and is smoother than I would have ever dreamed. Speed wise its pretty darn quick, I never chronoed it, but speed is icing on the cake when a bow shoots good. Due to the extremely short riser (yes its sub DAS, lol) its very stiff, and very dead in the hand after the shot. All in all one of the only bows ive made where i really did not want to deliver it, even kept it one day longer just so I could shoot it some more (Sorry Tommy). But dont worry, I picked up another donor yesterday. This one might just end up in my stable.

BTW to look at the bow in compound form, youd never guess it would be a killer conversion. Just goes to show what I always say- ANY bow can be converted, some are just better than others.
Stay tuned for my next project where I take a 23 inch fita recurve riser and turn it into my new indoor spot compound. A true "reverse warf".

Mike,
I like the fact that you think outside the box! That bow looks like it is using your short limb butt support scheme. Are those little pads under the limbs steel? They look too thin to be aluminum.
By the way, showing your projects isn't bragging! If you can do it, why not show it! :)

Good work there Mike.I was thinking along those lines in extending the limb pads on a riser that would not work otherwise.I am glad to see it worked. :)

Yeah, Im getting tired of making bows to help tommy improve his "form", or was it his hemmorrhoids? Cant remember.

I was thinkin with those talons and that riser we just might be able to make get it around 75 pounds at your draw length. But Lord have mercy, it would be a brute to get back. Did you see what that lefty went for?
