I had the chance a couple of weeks ago to stop and visit a while with an archery legend. I wish I would have been around in his day.

Ah, that's great. I just closed "Hunting the Hard Way" before logging on. My boys and I have a number of his videos and we enjoy them, every hokey second! Gotta love Howard!

Thanks Bill, I always wanted to make a trip down there myself.

In death as in life, his monument seems just like him. It's understated and straightforward form is impressive without being pretentious. A great archer and the reason why so many of us became interested in archery in the first place.

You and I both Bill.

I am convinced the man gave us just bits and pieces of what he knew about shooting a stickbow.

At times I wonder if his competive spirit was the culprit?

I can hear them Cemetery workers now..... "Hey- theres another one of them longbow guys hunting in the cemetery again".
Very nice setting to snap a picture. Ill bet you got that gut feeling to pay homage in some way, didnt you?

Thanks for the picture Bill. That is one guy that I sure miss. Another one is Swinehart, another one is Paul Schafer.
