View Full Version : Yet another silly ILF limb question???
I'm nowhere near this point yet (still acquiring everything). I was just wondering if anyone has tried to use contact paper on their hunting bow limbs? I am referring to the self adhesive shelf liner that is available in all kinds of different colors at wally world and elsewhere. I have used the clear one as a frisket when airbrushing and it is extremely tacky stuff. I am also wondering if and how it will effect the bow's performance. I will try it once I get my Warf together and post some pics, and let you know how or if it works out. If not I will probably just airbrush the limbs.
All opinions are welcome.
Thanks
Leo

go to arrowwrapsunlimited.com and he has professional 3M adhesive veneers with snakesking graphics for less than $30/set.
I'd paint before using paper...and your limbs would look like martha stewart's pantry....LOL!!!
It's not all actually paper. Most of it these days is vinyl and there are all kinds of patterns available. This stuff is made to be pretty permanent. I figure (especially on my budget) that it would make a great alternative to cover/protect limbs with. It averages about 5 bucks for a roll of 24" by 20'.
I was mainly wondering how it would effect limb performance. Can anyone tell me what thickness the wraps/skins are?
Thanks
Leo
