Noticed some things when experimenting lately -
When string walking and finger not touching nock, very noisy. Move finger up to touch nock, not as noisy. Split-finger, much quieter.

I actually like shooting 3-under because it provides a closer to point-on at shorter distances (25-40 yards) and I seem to be getting a cleaner release. I'm rambling, but would like to ask a question regarding tiller...

I see it all the time - people commenting that if shooting 3-under, bow should be tillered to reflect it, but have seen other responses that say it doesn't really make much difference. I haven't changed the tiller on my warfer much... only been shooting it at even tiller to 1/8+ on upper limb. I'd like to hear what effect others have experienced when messing around with tiller settings. If I made an adjustment, and it really does make a difference... what should it be and how much?

Piney,

Bob can tell you best about the Warfer but everything I've read says a 'zero tiller' works best for 3-Under. Whereas a positive tiller of 1/4" - 3/8" works best for split-fingers. - John

The guy that made my Widow said it wasn't much of a factor......When I shoot "under" I usually just use the index and middle fingers...that seems to cut down on the "noise"..........

Piney...Tried to post a reply but I guess it went into cyber space so will try again. You have the perfect bow to play with tiller. Just loosen the small set screws and change tiller with the limb bolts and see what happens. You should also be able to change your point on a few yards with tiller changes also. I never have messed with string walking so it should be interesting what you come up with by changeing the tiller as far as noise and point on. You can always go back to where you were with just a ruler or bow square. Go for it!!....warf

Bob, I know how but haven't yet got into experimentation with that part... too busy shooting 100's of arrows. LOL

Should have seen the new riser when I first laid my limbs in. Wasn't paying attention and I bet there was 1/2" + or better on top limb... sure did look weird.

Piney...Probably looked like one of those classic Japanese bows!! With it being off that far should give you a point on of about 300 yds!!....LOL....warf
