Well, Ohio has produced another hunting Icon because of a set of antlers. Just wish it was me:)
Another buck over 200 inches was killed opening day of bow season here in Ohio. I can't wait to hear the rumors that soon will be coming.
The buck was killed with a crossbow so it will not get into any of the main books but will go into the Ohio Big Buck book and will bring a whole lot of new hunters to the state.
Here is a link to a picture of the buck:

I remember the pic of the bowhunter with a real nice trophy buck taken the first part of the ohio season last year. He was in a field of bio-logic.
Maybe next year, it will be a muzzle loaders turn.

Lambow,
I know the shooter of last years big buck. He was trying to get a good clean picture of the buck for advertizing purposes. I think he made the wrong decision for taking the picture in that field but that was not the place where it was killed.

Yea tuffy, i didn't figure it was. Looked to me like he was helping promote bio-logic. If that was the case, i have no qualms with it.
It sure was a nice buck. did you see it up close & personal?

I have seen the mount up close, it is something else up close.
The gentleman that shot it is no rookie either, That made his 8th record book buck, so he definately has my admiration.
The funny thing is the deer that was shot this year is reportedly from an Amish community. The funny part is how fast the news of the buck has spread across the state.

Only 8 in the book??
Well... I put at least 3 in MY book every year, lol. Saw this one over there, saw that one over here, couldn't get a shot off on that one, this one turned chasing a doe, the other guy shot that one, blah, blah, blah.....
