Is there anyway to update our member status. Shows me as a junior, Which is impossible as mine and my fathers names are different.

Actually, I think it might be good to take a look at removing that type of title altogether. I think the atmosphere of equality here is a good thing and new members needn't be labeled "juniors" just because they didn't find our forum as soon as others.

However, this is one of those things where feedback would be great. I could assign a Charter member status to everyone who was a member of Old TradTalk, giving some significance to the fact that they were members during what we will soon think of as "the old days".

Thoughts on this are welcome, as always.

Robert,

The "charter member" thing would be kind of cool, but other than that I am inclined to agree with you. It doesn't matter much how long you've been posting, just what you have to say.

Even if you don't do the "charter" thing, do away with any other status attatched to our names.

Dave

Bummer, lost my karma of 2,015 posts. Sure... what DA said is true, it's not how much you post, but what you contribute. Charter member? That sounds too much like the "other site" that arbitrarily awards certain members with a "special" title.

PB,

I agree with DA and PineLander, and like you said it may be more "friendly" for newcomers. - John

Ditto, I think it will also help keep the site cleaner looking and maybe a little faster for those of us who still have to use phone line hookups

This is great, I'm way ahead of TJ in posts! But if it's any consolation Big Guy you'll probably still be king for the number of posts pulled.

I agree 100% charter membership would be nice but that should be it. I think this is the first time i have ever had a higher post count than TJ.

Papa bull...Didn't you say something awhile back that all charter members get a free Mountain Muffler string or something like that?? LOL....warf

Pinelander

Grand Pooper? Sure, that would be fitting. LOL :D

Of course, you'd have to make sure the tassle up top was hanging over just right to avoid string contact at all times. Might even be able to use it as a gapping aid. Sheez.... but then you wouldn't be accepted into the "Lodge of Legends" as that is reserved for Instinctors only. :p

hmmm... ran across this somewhere out there -

Members who have put in the time, effort, and paid their dues, to the traditional bowhuntin gods. They been around, seen around and know of what they speak. Charter membership is something we stick on members who deserve a bit of respect. It's our way of saying "This guy knows what he's talkin about.... don't be a smartass...... listen to what he's saying and learn something."

Due to Redwings reinventing of thermite his new handle DAS is understandable its an old German abbreviation for:

Die rauchenden roten Flügelfedern
