Just wanted to start a thread to post some of my pictures that I take at work and while out scouting and shed hunting. I heard recently some of you southern and easterners appreciated the scenery out here.
This pic is a canyon about 7 miles from my house. Thats looking into the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. A guy could start walking SW from where I took the pic and not hit a road for many, many days of walking...maybe 80 miles as the crow flies.

This is the view off my deck. I dont have a choice piece of property or anything like that...its just that almost every house in W. MT has a decent view!

3 more for today.
I was rifle elk hunting 2 years ago when I came across this big old boulder in the forest.

It had a nice little hole burrowed under it, this is my buddy Barri posing next to the hole...the hole had a bunch of tracks going in and out of it.

I stuck my arm and camera in the hole and took a flash picture...Looks kinda cozy in there doesn't it.

I sorta thought the following pic would give it away. That critter laying in the middle of the fir bows is what made the tracks! :)

That's beautiful, beautiful country! If you stuck your arm in a place like that down here, it'd get bit!

Hehehe! Thank goodness its not like that up here. What kind of snakes you got, wanna send me some skins??
That bear was pretty content. There were actually two in there, but we could only see one. I think it was momma and a single yearling cub.
Hey Xtimber, thanks for the nock point reminder.

You're likely to get a crack at a rattler or two at my place in September, Ernie, and, please, no reaching in dark holes in the Breaks. Nice pic! :p

Heres another of my favorites from 2 elk seasons ago. Just getting dark and we ran this whole herd out of the basin trying to get on them!

And this bull was grunting in return to our cow elk calls. Sure wish I had moose tag, we had him at 10-15 yards for a bit!

One more. This is a water hole near where all those elk were. Think a guy might be able to put a treestand up there and do some damage?

Ah man, you're killing me!! Don't SAY "one" more unless you're willing to keep on saying it! I have been in over 40 states. Unfortunately, yours is not one of them.
I won't get tired of seeing the pics!

Yeah, she's just laying there looking at my camera and HAND! Probably wondering if she should have one last meal before her long winter sleep. Hehehe.
Nah, I wasn't too worried. Besides, my buddy Barri had his 338 leveled on the cave! :)
OK Mike...One More!

Thank O'B. Today was a sweet day. Little hot, but cant complain as I found a Boone and Crockett set of shiras antlers plus a nice 6 point bull shed!
