Alright let me start this by saying I have gained special squirrel permits from the DNR. :) The shot was 19 yards the bushy tail was hanging on the side of the pine in the pic. My wife and son were watching out the kitchen window. Mr. Bushy tail ran off with my arrow and rubber blunt I had to get Sissy out to retrieve my arrow and trophy.

Told ya I sprinkled a little warf dust on that warfed Gamemaster, made a no miss killing machine out of it! How do you keep that Jack Russell from consuming the trophy and evidence? That nutrat would be a one bite and it's gone if my fox terrier was that close to it....warf

Good shooting! My rat terrier would give it the devil for a second until it dies but then the fun is gone and she is ready for something else. :)

Bob, I have to keep her on a short leash so to speak. I have gotten her attention so many times that if I tell her stern enough to stop she will stop. When she found the squirrel it had my arrow stuck through it and was still alive. You talking about a show it was on.

Not bragging but that was one of my better shots I picked a spot right behind the shoulder and I mean that is exactly where the arrow hit.

The extra speed really helps. I have had a bunch of squirrels jump the string in the past with my bows.

Bowcephus, it was a nice day. I woke up this morning late as my wife kept the kids quiet so I could get some rest. It has been a long week or two with this sickness. I got up got myself dressed went to the house of the Lord. Came home and spent the afternoon shooting my bow off and on while playing with my kids. I just love life.

I'm just glad you are up and walking around without hacking out a lung. Good to hear you are feeling better.

Thanks man, about a week ago things weren't near as good. It has been a while since I got down that sick. I go in the morning for another chest x-ray and doctors visit. I am hoping to get the ok from the doc to go back to normal. I know it will be a while before he cuts me loose to start running again but it is driving me nuts not getting exercise. Good thing it has warmed up and I can play in the yard.

Roby,
Good shootin! Isn't it amazing how tough those squirrels are?? I lived in Texas for a few years in a native pecan "forest". We had squirrels everywhere and I killed a lot of them. It takes a lot to put one down!

Roby,

Nice shot!

That is one of the biggest things I miss about living in Illinois...besides the whitetails it was the squirrel hunting. I've never had as much fun than I did when I was a kid hunting squirrels with my bow and arrow and another buddy.

The squirrels hear are about the size of mice.

Ray ;)

This guy is completely out of control. Now he has his whole family enjoying the kill. Where did we go wrong?

Do we need to start a forum for therapy of some kind?

Of course I would never do anything like that
