As I said in my last post, I have been reasonably impressed with the scientific evidence for the health benefits of green tea. I happened today upon a different herb, called rooibios tea, that seems to have similar effects but which is naturally decaffeinated. Here is a link to a popular article which summarizes some of the medical research: Roobios Tea (http://www.montegotea.com/research/document%205.pdf) and here is a link to a place to buy it if you are interested: Lifespan Tea (http://lifespantea.com/Rooibos7WaysBetterThanGreenTea.htm).

I've been starting to replace my morning coffee with green tea. I still need my caffine though!!

I still drink large amounts of coffee. I just thought that someone like Cato might want to avoid the caffeine and not worry about whether or not the decaf process was ruining the anti-oxidants.

Roobios (Red Bush) Tea. Such a nice change from ordinary tea. Im not so sure that Phil would agree with me though.
My new partner is South African and she introduced me to it a few months ago. Apparantly its really popular over there. The best one that i have come across so far is a brand called "Eleven Oclock Tea"

I just got the tea I ordered: Red Rooibios, Green Rooibios, and Honeybush. They are all excellent; and they all taste better than Green Tea. I am very impressed.

My daughter especially enjoyed the Honeybush. So we've been mixing it with the others (including green tea).

Eaglearcher, am I right that the honeybush tea is a traditional San bushman drink?
