ok , if you could only keep one bow,i know this question is gut wrenching, but be brave and try to answer, which bow would it be ? now how about arrows and broadheads?

for me it would have to be my ........ ,man this question sucks, just whose idea was this anyway?

ok ,ok, i can do this! my Ram Horn recurve, my 2018's and my Magnus's. whew, now i'm going to take all my bows into the backyard and have me a shot -fest.

I'm kinda partial to my Black Widow PMA II, 2117's and Magnus heads. Gotta love those Magnus heads.

I'll tell you after I get my DAS Hunter. It has the potential to be a lot faster than anything I've ever owned, and quiet and forgiving as well. I cannot wait!

Out of all the bows I have my 3pc Adcock longbow would be the last to go.I used it my first season of hunting with a tradbow and had a great year.Out of the 50 or more I have bought, built or borrowed since then it is still among the very best in all deptments so I don't see it going anywhere. :)

Arrows and broadheads..does not matter cause I can shoot ant of them. ;)

Dan -

One bow, huh? How many sets of limbs?

Seriously, that's one I don't think I could answer.

Viper out.

Dan,

I've bought three new ones this in the last 8 months! A compound, longbow, and most recently a recurve. They're all my favorites! :highfive: Now, thanks to Esquire getting me interested in the Warfbow, I'll probably wind up getting one of them, too! For me, it's not a matter of a favorite! It's just the fun of shooting, period!

Let's see

- Damon Howatt Super Diablo 65# - Given to me by a friend dying of cancer... couldn't give that one up.

- Homebuilt Bingham 67# - Shot the buck in my avatar with... couldn't give that one up.

- Bear Grizzly 45# - Shot my first deer (4x4 buck) with 24 yrs ago... nope, wouldn't give that one up.

- In the process of building several warfs... one with glass limbs that I built, one for bowfishing, and one that Bob is converting for use with olympic limbs.

Glad I don't really have to make that choice.

One of my Hoyt 20" TD-3 risers with 50# and 57# sets of limbs. Only one set allowed, it would be the lighter set with about 2 dozen CX 30-50# carbons with 4" vanes and 125 grain field tips. Into a plastic shoebox would go three strings and all the Bear Razorheads on long inserts(12), Zwickey 2 blades with inserts (12), 6 Thunderhead 125s and a bunch of spare blades, some steel blunts, some Bludgeons, and some Judos. Add a 10" file and a two sided diamond stone, and some string wax and hot melt glue and I think I would be OK for just about anything for quite a while as long as I picked my shots well.

I know this sounds like I'm getting ready to head to the boonies or something, but why else would I only have one bow?

On the other hand it does make one wonder why I have so many bows hanging on the rack.

I'm waiting on a Martin hunter. I've heard good things so far. I'll wait to answer this one

I may be a tad biased here, but honestly, the DAS Kinetic Hunter is the last bow I'll need! :) :shooting:

Well, it's only a pipedream 'cause I'll never be happy with just one bow. I would keep one of the warfed risers that I have. Sell both sets of ILF limbs that I currently have (39-43) and (48-53) and purchase a set that would hit smack-dab in the range of 43-48# @ 64" with my 29" draw. That way I would have comfortable enough target limbs and also hunting limbs all-in-one!

As for arrows, sorry... gotta have two different sets (1 for target, 1 for hunting). That would be lightweight aluminums for target and the skinny Cabela SST for hunting.

As for broadheads... a no-brainer, will stick with the Zwickey 2-blades I've been using for 20 years and the Magnus also.

If I had to keep just one bow it would have to be my Italian Alpine Self Yew D section Long bow made by Pip Bickerstaffe. I've shot this bow on the battlefeild of Azincourt and at the Royal Toxopholite Society. It also gave me a 6 gold end at 80 yards. I couldn't part with it

1997 Widow SA III - 60" 57 @ 28"

My first recurve, and one of the bows I've been able to shoot the best. Shot my first traditional deer and turkeys with this bow. Put's the meat in the pot.

My Dad's Bear Kodiak Hunter, no question, no hesitation........It's the only one that could not be replaced....( and I have a Widow I love).....The Warfer Butterfly is my Wife's so it don't count. She'd be keeping it......

Here's another vote for a Kodiak Hunter. Mine is a '74 model my parents bought me for my birthday. Had alot of 'adventures' with that bow and it made me feel almost like Fred Bear. I still enjoy shooting it.

Something about those early 70's Kodiak Hunters that allows them to stand up pretty well to what's produced today in the wood/glass recurve category.....I always thought they were one of the best looking bows in the mass market too....
