Does anyone use Goat tough glue for fletching, serving, inserts, or anything else? They claim to be the end all in adhesives, but I'd like to hear your opinion.

I used to use goat tuff for everything and it worked well. It dries very fast and gives a really good bond. I guess for me it just bonded too well. It was hard to remove anything once it was set, which was a pain. It took forever to get the glue off when re-fletching without wraps. I also had to use a lot of heat to get inserts out.

Now I use hot melt and flex-bond/fletch-tite for shafts.

I tried a bottle of GT, and it worked well. However I too gave up on CA based glues for fletching. I've gone to wraps and the fletch tape. A WHOLE LOT easier to strip and refletch. I have some 1st generation carbons that are almost hexagonal from fletching /scraping /refletching multiple times using the CA. What a PITA. besides I'm still not completely convinced about the safety of CA--anything that fumes off that foul-ey can't be good for me. I still use it when nothing else will do, but seldom and sparingly.
As far as a CA glue goes the Goat tuff is as good or better than any others I have tried. I have some friend who swear by the newest generation of orthopediac adhesive-faster harder better safer etc etc. but I havn't been able to score any--yet

I have used the goat tuff for inserts, and it seems to work fine. Sometimes you need to rough up the inside of the shaft a little.

For fletching, I like the fletch tape. I know some do not like it. But I can fletch 6 shafts without having to wait for drying time, then go back and run a bead in critical spots, and with one drying time, I'm good to go. I do not hunt that much for extended periods in the rain, but I've never had any problem with it coming off or even acting tempermental.
