Decisions, Decisions, I am wanting to start to make a bow of my own and ended up with 6 pieces of nice turning wood stock. It will be a slow process I am sure, but a labor of love. I have an older book titled "How To Make Bows"
It was written by Tom Jennings & Doug Kittredge and the Copyright is 1961.
Although I have already deviated from their design the steps are pretty easy to follow. The date is wrong on the picture :cussing: digi camera.. see it has started already

I am sure I will need :help: :)

From top to bottom as listed is: Cocobolo, Bocota, Bugbinga, PurpleHeart Canarywood and Curly Maple.

Some very nice hardwoods, Tuff. Roll out the pix as you go and show us how to do them the justice they deserve. Good luck - nothing more rewarding when it all comes together.

Phil,

Rules are made to be broken.. :)
I will have to leave out the bad parts of the project, because I am sure I will have to cover up some mistakes.. :D
My tools are limited so there will be some compromizing along the way.
Which means a lot more hand tools to begin with.

BTW Phil another congratulations on your bow and the self gratification created by your hands has brought you. :highfive:
