View Full Version : Where would you rate this?
At my league tonight I shot a 211 out of 300. So far it's my best. This was a result of a heavier arrow and a looser grip. I hope to keep getting better from here. You think this is a decent score though? I understand I have a long way to go.

Matt,
A year ago I would have given anything to break 200, but couldn't. I have improved to the point where practicing for our State NFAA Indoor championship I was shooting in the 250s on my patio. At the shoot I choked on the first round and only shot 244. Settled down on the second to shoot a personal high of 260.
My point is, your 211 is a great starting point. Keep working and you will only get better.

Absolutely...I agree with DA. I'm guessing you are talking about a NFAA 300 round???

It wasn,t that long ago I was happy to break 200 also. It,s not a bad score at all and you,ll go beyond that for sure. Many stick shooters have trouble breakin 200 and seem happy with that while others try to get better.I seem to be up and down lately between 230,s and 250,s hopefully I,ll be on the up side this weekend,Im shootin my first comp the NYFAB classic which is the state NFAA 300 round.
Keep at it,thats a fine score that,ll get better as ya go.
PS don,t worry about score it,s just a way to measure where YOUR at .
LOL I should listen to myself on that one HAHAHAHA
Good luck Tom M
Black Wolf,
No, it was a 3D 300. I wish we had NFAA here.
I should mention that up to this point my average has only been about 175. This was a big jump for me. Hopefully with the changes I made I can manage to keep my score going up and not back down. The changes made me a lot more stable. They should be permenant so I'm hopeful. I'll see how I do next week.

Matt, we all have good days and bad days. Started out this season with a 193, then a 204, 212 and finally a 223, in which I did not miss a single critter. A week later, missed 5 targets on the way to scoring 177. IN my book any time you score over 200 you had a good round. What you and I have to do is keep our beady eyes on these fellows hitting in the 240 range and slowly creep up on them. Its called "stalking the score". We do it slowly a few points at a time and have to be patient and careful.
