Just curious to know if anyone here are members of CBA or if there is an active chapter in your area.

No, I'm not a member and there is not a Chapter even in my whole state. I've considered trying to start one here in the Charleston area. However, I fear a good thing, the Christian Bowhunters Club, might get in the way of the best things, my family time and worship time with my church family. I would imagine a lot of effort would be required to get something like that off the ground and going.

I did attend the Christian Bowhunters National 3D Shoot in Columbus, GA a couple of years ago. I met some great people there. My son and I caught up with a group and they invited us to shoot with them. One member of the group was a fella by the name of Larry Jones. Larry is on the Board of Directors of Christian Bowhunters of America. He is also the owner of Jones Calls.

I found out that day that Larry could shoot a mighty mean recurve, too. There was several shooters in the group that were shooting compounds. Larry would shoot his recurve from the compound stake and outshoot the compound shooters! Man what a stickbow shooter!!

Larry Jones is indeed a great guy. He has come to the hunt our chapter sponsors on 2 different years. Once by himself & the other time with Dwight Schuh.

WE have been able to go to only 2 of the national shoots. One in MI & one in IN. Would like to go this year but it is still 5 + hours & we just don't have any vacation time left.

The neat thing about our chapter is that we really emphasize family involvement. Plus Lee & I have made it our primary ministry focus so that has helped with our time factor.
