After nearly 5 years in development by John Havard and a full year with Jason and me we finally have the new ACS recurve production ready. We are offering it in both our new bolt-down Orion risers and ILF.
The limb is an all new design from the ground up. It combines proprietary carbon (called Crazy John’s by the manufacturer) with our dirty bamboo core and a new carbon weave to produce a smooth, stable, and extremely fast limb. Our test numbers put it among the fastest bows in the market place but we will wait for Blacky’s official tests next month before publishing any numbers. But put it this way - it’s faster than our CG longbow limbs.
Offered in Short, Medium, Long and XL combined with 13, 15 or 17” risers our Orion can be configured from 54 to 64”. The ILF limbs are compatible with all ILF risers.
After a long development period and after months of testing (including over 50,000 cycles at 30” on our cycle tester) we’re now ready to take orders for this long-awaited ACS recurve limb. We will have a about a dozen sets of ACS recurve limbs along with several sets of ACS bolt-down longbow limbs available for purchase at the Kalamazoo Traditional Expo. Delivery on orders for these new limbs will begin in February.
