This was forwarded to me. The deer is said to have been killed in Nebraska.

Looks like one of them little Texas bucks! We pass on little ones like that up here...

Actually, that may be the only buck on this site heavier than Bob's Lil Feller! That's what makes me suspect an urban legend. :)

I might put a question out on the wall and see what response I get. I never heard of a deer that much over 300 lb. However, a friend here has killed a couple in Kansas that went over 300.

That pic is a little small to see--but is that a halter on that deer? LOL

I've gotten that same pic before, but said it was killed in Arkansas.

I put a post on Bowsite, and got several responses. The deer was legit, or appear that way. It was killed in Nebraska, buy a guy from Arkansas.

Here is the link. It is at the very bottom.

Well, now somebody on bowsite is still saying it is a distortion, so who knows.

I still cannot imagine a 400lb deer. A 300lb deer is a monster.

Here is a link to a very long discussion on bowsite. Lots of controversy. I did not read it all, but apparently some believe it is true, and others a hoax. One guy claims to be a part of the hoax, but more or less says the animal really weighed that much.

If it was true, I would think it would be all over every hunting magazine.

if thats dressed weight it's bigger than the last cow elk i shot. i don't have any idea how heavy one can get but would think it would have to be fed good for a long time.

If I thought bucks that big were in the timber I'm not sure it would be safe to walk in or out from the blind in the dark!

Good to CYA TJ. Yeah, I'm not sure I want to tackle that bad boy with a 50#er.

And people can't understand why TJ needs a #90 Silvertip! You're not taking that bad boy down with a #40 self-bow and stone points unless you stab him with the arrow.

I think he spent a couple years in that farmer's barn. They ought to drug test him.
