I've never been happy with the grip on my warfed Jennings Black Lightning riser. Since the grip isn't interchangeable, I thought about carving one from wood. Bob Gordon suggested the good idea of adapting a plastic Hoyt GM grip.

However, being especially cheap, I bought a roll of epoxy dough, and molded it over the existing grip. After it hardened (which was fast!), I filed and sanded it to
shape. It's not gorgeous, but it's the best fitting grip I've ever shot, even if I do say so myself. :)

Nice going...A grip that feels good to the owner of the bow is so important on how the bow shoots and feels, if the grip doesn't feel right usually there is a way to add, remove, reshape, or something to get it just right, looks you did it right...warf

Hey danosage, I really liked that idea for your grip. This is what I did for mine. It was bit more money but it works. I went to the sports store and actually got some tennis grip tape (about 10 bucks Canadian) and wrapped my grip with it. It has been working great thus far. Plus I can always add more if need be.

This is just another option for any else who does not have the chance to use danosage's idea. Hope this helps.

Plus, if you wanted it to look better you could always buy a piece of leather and glue it over. Almost trad!

Where do you purchase the epoxy dough?...I've got a grip or two that some madman with a rasp got carried away on :p

Yep, local hardware store carries it. Before I applied the epoxy to the grip, I made a model grip using some of my kid's modeling clay to get a close approximation of how much epoxy to use & where to put it.

I think the grip looks like rock, which is I suppose is traditional. :)
