More out of boredom w/ the provided food from the DFAC than any other reason, I created somehting rather tasty and easy/cheap to prepare...

In the bottom of a microwaveable bowl (with tight fitting lid) place contents of (1) 0.9 Oz package of Jack Link's beef jerkey.
Place (1) block of ramen noodles on top of jerky bits and add 1/2 cup of water.
Loosly place lid on top and microwave on high for 90 seconds.
Turn block of noodles over and microware again on high for 90 seconds.
Snap lid closed and let it sit on the desk for about 20 minutes untill suffciently cooled and all water is absorbed.
Enjoy!

Can't wait to try it with other flavors of Jerky!

Sounds like one of those things I'd eat at deer camp, but at home I'm salt-conscious (high blood pressure.) ;-)

Still, a lower-sodium variation should be possible. Sounds like it'd make a good one-pot meal on a hunting trip.

a lower-sodium variation should be possible..

I did NOT add the supplied "seasoning packet" whihc is, I presume, where 780mg of the 790mg total sodium comes from. All the flavor came strictly from the meat...

I'm kinda thinking I could do the same thing with some rice, so I'm going to go to the local Bazaar and see if I can score a pound or five of that lovely long grain basmati I see all the locals eating

Now, if only I had some REAL venison Jerky instead of theis beef jerky... hmmm..
