For those of you that have the Proline riser. How much weight do get from your limbs over what is marked on the limbs.I have a Jennings but also have a Proline that has not been to Bob yet.I just wondered if I would pick up too much weight switching to the other riser.I know the proline would be more suited for my less than 28" draw but don't want to buy a bunch of limbs.

James...With the Proline due to the little flatter limb angle you would get about three to four lbs over the Bear or Jenning riser, with a longer draw of 30" or more you get five to six lbs more on the Proline....Others will have to comment on what they get at their draw length over what's marked on the limbs....I get ten or eleven lbs over whats marked on the limbs at my 32" knuckle dragging draw, makes for some pretty fast arrows for sure...Bob

James,
The Proline has the same pocket angle as an FITA riser. Bob and I have measured them. The poundage gain due to the shorter riser is about 4lb. there is an additional gain due to the fact that the limb pockets are forward relative to the grip. This means that at brace, you are already almost 2 inches into the draw, so depending on the limb you should see an additional 4 or 5 pounds. That would put it about 8 or 9 pounds gain at 28". Bob is obviously the one to ask though since he has done a ton of them!

Thanks guys.So if I want to shoot 45 to 50lbs I probably would need some 40lb limbs. My 46lb limbs would put me at least 52 TO 56 at 28" and that is more than I need.

James...I will weigh a Proline at your draw and let you know what the exact weight change will be from what the limbs are marked and get back to you...Bob

James...Just weighed a Proline with med. 34 lb limbs. With the limbs centered on the limb bolts got 40 lbs at 26 1/4" to the plunger hole. 28"AMO) so a six lb increase at your draw length. 40 lb limbs should give you 46 lbs, you could probably get from 42 to 50 lbs by playing with the limb bolts.Hope this helps....Bob

Thanks a bunch Bob.It sounds like the 40lb limbs will be just right for me.I guess I will have to keep my eye out for a deal on some of the short ones.

James,

What kind of limbs do you have? I have an extra set of 40# and might trade for your 46.

Thanks Steve but I don't want to get rid of my vectors.I am just thinking of fixing up another riser. The 46lbs come out just right on my Jennings but I will need lighter ones for the proline to get about the same weight.
