Okay, you've had your grilled venison burgers cooked over a open fire, foil wrapped potatoes, etc. The fire has settled some, and it's time to toast the hunt. What shall we drink to?

In other words, this topic is for toasts. Here are a few of my favorites -

"Here's to us; damn few like us and they're all dead."

"Confusion to money-lenders."

And if I'm drinking with others of French descent, "Laissez les bon temps roulez!" ("Let the good times roll.")

So, what do you say when you raise a glass at your camp?

I worked in Russia for a year training game wardens to be fishing guides. We took great pride in teaching each other the important words - you know the words that don't show up on the berlitz tapes.

They taught me a toast - Пей до дна! (Pej do dna) - it means bottoms up in a literal sense. Those guys were the salt of the earth and would give you the shirts off their backs.

"Cheers - to good friends and the memories we make and I hope we make many more".

that about covers it for me.

Hopefully I can have some of these with you guys and gals.
