I have a pair of older bows, ~1950s?, that have horn tips. One is a hickory longbow with the name Wilcox stamped on it. It is simple but nice. The other is a lemonwood longbow takedown. The takedown is done with steel cylinders, making the grip perfectly round. The horn tips on the lemonwood have some small splits. Is it possible to put some clear epoxy in the split and string it up to see abou shooting it? I'd like to be able to use these bows. I've had them for about 10 years. I shot the hickory bow once about a week after I got it, but not since. I have never shot the lemonwood. It does have a line on one of the limbs that escapes determination. Any help would be appreciated.
