I was sitting on a fence row on the second day of the hunt and I was finally relaxing into that state of being where I can rest fully in the moment. Fall was raging around me and the colors were quietly outrageous and the bees were droning around me.
The sky was a bright blue contrasted in spots by whisps of white and the air was incredibly crisp and sweet.
I was just sitting there and I suddenly experienced an excruciating pang of longing for that time when we will be free to live all of our moments in such a way...
...safe in the knowledge that all is right with that which God made and deemed "good."
I thought of a world populated with God's beauty and imagination and devoid of bill collectors, child molestors, and everything in between.
A world where my children are free to roam the face of the earth and I am free of fear for their safety. A world without fences or agendas.
That day is coming. I can barely imagine it.
