My normal breakfast at least 6 mornings a week is a protein smoothie. I'm done in 5 minutes. Laura also makes oatmeal cookies that have a lot of good stuff in them like almonds, dried fruit, honey (no sugar). These are very nutritious, require no cooking, will keep you going for hours eating just two and do not take up much room in a hunting pack or pocket. I am working on getting her to make some with chocolate chunks in them, just for hunting season. :)

I usually have a cup of strong coffee or two and a big piece of pie before I leave, then take a couple of granola type bars--unwrapped from the cellophand and re wrapped in soft saran-wrap and two or three of those kids juice boxes of apple juice in my pack. Usally eat a regular "big breakfast" when I come back in later in the morning. Closer to the rut when it pays to stay out all day I just take more low-bulk, low noise, low smell stuff with me, Apple juice boxed drinks, homade trail mix, jerky, soft pouch canteen of water, etc.

Seeing as I work at one of those (McDonalds-Manager),you wouldn't BELIVE how many hunters I have come through the drife thru window in the mornings on there way to the woods. Infact, that is what got me thinking about this.

Whatever the rodents I share my house? with leave me. Seriously, whatever there is time for and depending on how hungery I may be at the time. Also depends on the workload for the day. Namely staying on the back 40 vs a trip into the swamp.

D. Who has time for breakfast?

I usually carry some food with me in my day pack and sit under a tree for a mid-morning pig out. But that comes hours and miles down the road.

Granola/energy bar on the way out to wherever I'm hunting that day, but I carry other goodies (Granola/energy bars, jerky, cheese sandwichs, etc.) in my daypack for later in the day.

And if it's a successful hunt, I might just broil me a steak right there! :shooting:

Pretty much the same breakfast as I normally have. A bowl of Kashi go lean crunch, two eggs scrambled ,coffee and a protein bar or drink.
