This is my first post so I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place or not. I was hoping some of you guys that have done a few bows before could tell me what you think of my tillering job on these two bows. The one on the left is the first one I did, ended up being about 35-36# @29" and 78" ntn, the one on the right is the second one, I think it is about 55# @29", and it is 73" ntn, but I haven't quite gotten it back all the way yet, probably only going about 28". These are both red oak boards. The first started as a 1x2" and is backed with fiberglass mat (just something I had) in TBIII, and the second started as a 1x3 and is backed the same way except with some cotton cloth. Looking at these pics it looks to me like I spent more time on the first one and it has a smoother curve, but the second one looks ok to me too, it looks "like a bow". I don't know... Any comments?
