Just got my gamemaster back from Bob for a little remodeling job. Wow Bob took the stock limbs off and replaced with a set of W/W focus limbs. The work he did is perfect it looks like it came from the Hoyt factory. Perfect fit, perfect limb alignment, perfect tiller. The bow is 53@30 and is spitting an arrow out quite fast. Don't know exact speeds should chrono in the next few days will report back. This limbs are sweet and the work Bob did is awesome. Forgot to add I had one of Roberts MM strings endlessloop waiting to stick on the bow and its is much quieter than before. Not bad quieter and faster.

Sounds like a nice setup Roby, what you thinking about using in the projectile dept?

Were the limbs much of an improvement over the factory limbs?

Piney, not 100% sure on arrow choice at this point. I am shooting some 35-55 goldtips right now. I plan to go to another arrow. I had thought about the Easton lightspeeds depending on arrow speeds I might go with something about the same weight as I now have 380 grains. Ready to leave the goldtips for a better arrrow.

James, there really is no comparison between the stock limbs and the focus limbs. What you have is the opposite ends of the spectrum. The focus being very high end olympic limbs and the stock gamemaster being the lower end. The new limbs are carbon and I can feel them have more preload on the front end not mushy feeling. Bob also said the bow was smooth as silk all the way out to his 32 inch draw. The bottom line will be the performance issue and I want have the results on that for a couple of days.

Just another note. This is really hard to believe I bought the gamemaster new for $325 no tax I got the W/W focus limbs for $300 I just sold the gamemaster limbs for $175. That puts my total cost for this bow @ $450.00 not bad.

I would say you did good on the Gamemaster, in a local bow shop I saw a couple for $500.00, that must be the listed factory price from Hoyt...warf

I wish my Border Comet was "Warferizeable", how's that for a new word?!! Unfortunately, it is a wood riser bow, and is of such design, very flat angled limb pads, that it won't work. And, sadly, the newer generation of Border limbs won't work, either. Guess I'll just have to stick with what I have. I may get somebody to make a new set of limbs for me to fit the bow, or I may do it myself!! I've been planning on starting, why not just a set of limbs to fit the Border?

How about a combination of actionboo cores, with yew veneer on the belly and back of the limbs? And layers of carbon between each layer of wood! I may even spend the $ to get some of the Oust carbon that is finished on one side. Makes for a great looking finish on the bow. Below is a link to a Black Swan Hybrid longbow that has a similar carbon material on the belly and backsides of the limbs.

You know I really hadn't noticed just how much weight I have lost with all this running. But looking at myself in that photo my legs have gone to nothing.

I may be nit picking here, but I noticed from the picture you shoot your bow with no tab or glove......is that more accurate? :)

Also, love the hat! Very "traditional!"

with all that length at the corner of the mouth do you have a problem getting a consistant anchor?

Wildman,

I have tried contacting oust but they have not returned my calls. How much are they selling the carbon for?
