sorry if this repeats, but I hit an accident button. Looking to refind the contact we had from possibly Gr. Northern Bow people, who were making a custom jig for certain drill presses, to center and hold a half feather for grinding uniform pith shape. I've been doing the razor knife and dremel tool thing to make turkey feather fletching, but I have a few years of heritage breed turkey wing, tail and body feathers that are really jazzy and in need of arrow homes, and I don't want to mess them up, so this jig may make the difference. Our mixed breed turkeys have variations of patterns and colors ranging from snakeskin, freckled, camo in ivory, oakleaf browns, greys and iridescent green and brown, plus classic Eastern Wild barring. I had wanted to give out sets of fletching to experienced home-fletchers to try out and give us constructive corrective opinions, and lost the guy's address that I promised fletching to, but was hospitalized a few times this year, bedbound with permanent IV pik line up the arm to the heart, the hospital gave me staph infection and had to have a brand new hip prosthetic cut open and chemically scrubbed, sewn back up and they cut some thigh nerves that have left me struggling to use the leg, besides the back surgeries necessary just to stand up more than 2 minutes. For the first time in 36 yrs, last year I didn't even get a hunting license, since I can't draw the bow and would never think about crossbows. If I can't get into the woods and hunt, I will die, nearly already died inside. No one likes getting old, but it seems arthritis and back disease stole most of the last 20 years and I got weak inside and gave in to it. Maybe I'll never be totally functional again, and brain is a sieve, but I am determined to hunt again, and to do this right thing with our turkey feathers.
thanks if any one knows who it is selling the jig, or has used it and can offer advice. mari
