What to do with the hides

This topic has probably come up before, but I thought I'd throw it around again anyway. I've got a bunch of new hides this year and I've been trying to figure out what to do with them after tanning. Just wonder if anybody has some creative ideas?

Tell me about the tanning. My 7 year old is begging me for a deer hide.

There are a few places that will finish them up for you into about whatever you want from gloves to vests. A friend of mine used to have gloves made and sent them to his friends for Christmas presents and would sell the rest.

It would make a pretty neat bow sock. add some fringe and a few antler buttons and it would be pretty cool.
