To date, it is the best! pure Lanolin that you buy from the Pharmacy, the stinking kind. Smells like the bathroom at granpas house. Slickest stuff around, and waxy, easy to coat a part with. Try this, piece of steel and coat it with a little lanolin and goob on some JB. let dry, and you can pop it off with your fingernails. Yes, I glass with JB weld. I love it, and makes a great durable bedding material. You may want to experiment with pigmentation for colors which I have not done. Rebel background confirms that I already like gray!

Johnsons paste wax for me.
Devcon putty or accuglass gel. If JB came in larger quantities it would be more economical to use.

Sam,
5 ounces, that will repair a lot of busted door jambs! :)
I know a handyman who buys the small tubes to repair door jambs. I'll tell him about the 5 ounce tubes.
He'd spend less replacing one jamb than buying 10 of the small tube kits to repair it.
Got to admire Arkie Engineering.

Pulled my Mauser out of a Synthetic stock globbed full of JB. No resistance, just pulled out/coated with lanolin.:)
