I just went to Niff-T-Seats website today after finding out that the owner/distributor is having a Katrina Flood sale. I then talked to the owner and found that he has quite a few seats that were under water that he needs to clear out. He is offering them at 50% discount. He said that they are all washed and oiled up, with only minor blemishes. I would suppose that using it once or twice would have put blemishes on it anyways so I zipped off a check to cover the cost and shipping. It sounds like a good deal for a great product. He is selling the ones that went through the flood for $20 plus shipping.

This guy is on the Mississippi gulf coast, and had an enormous uninsured loss. After talking to him, I felt so bad, I'm probably going to send him more than he asked for. He said he had 300 seats ready to go to Cableas, that went through the flood.

I've been reading about this seat from ground hunters for some time now. It is apparently really good. If any of you were looking for a versatile seat, you could help a victim of the recent storm, he really needs to clear them out. Oh by the way he can't take credit cards yet so it's either money order or check.
Here's the link:

By the way, I got this from another site, in case you have seen it elsewhere.

Cato,

Great seat. Easy to carry. It breaks down easy and attaches to your belt. I gave mine to a friend who had never heard of them and loves it for turkey hunting. I think its a great $$$$ chose. I take mine to sporting events, just stick it in the ground and ya got a spot to plop yer backside. Ok, I can't say enough about it. Thanks for the heads up.

It uses stakes into the ground? I'm clueless on this product... a pic is worth a thousand words, but unfortunately no photos appear on the link you provided. Sounds like it might be a handy seat for turkey hunting in a blind?

I have been useing one for 2 years.I love mine.I use it more for squirrel and hog hunting than deer hunting since I mostly hunt from treestands for deer.I also take it with me to some of the 3ds.That way I always have a place to take a break. :) That is a good price on a quality product.

I put a thread out on the leathewall about this. Apparently, it got pulled. Hard to understand.

Cato,

It is hard to understand. Some of the stuff they let propagate on the LW and what they choose to pull seems so arbitrary.

I really don't get it. I made it clear he was a storm vicitm, with a huge uninsured loss, and was just trying to survive.

Each to his own. At least our crowd seems to understand. And in all fairness, I found it over on tradgang. They let it run.

Who knows.

Unbelievable... and many are practically begging someone to pull the "possum" thread and yet, no response.
