This is the bow I finished yesterday. I started it last winter and worked on it off and on since. It's osage, with two layers of sinew and sturgeon skin for backing. I named it Surf & Turf.
60" ntn and 65# @ 28". It sure doesn't take much sinew and osage to make a 65# bow. I wanted to put horn nocks on it and a few other things, but I have another bow that's just about done and the season is almost here, so I just went ahead and finished it up so I could get on to the other one. It's pretty forgiving for a short, light toothpick of a recurve and puts heavy hickory arrows where I want em, so even though I'm a longbow kinda guy, I'm basically happy with it.
